HD50 and HD68 pin

Description

Internal SCSI expansion cards and adapters let you add SCSI 2 or SCSI 3 drives to your Mac – both internal and external. These are called many names, but I’ll go with the shortest – HD50 or HD68. Also can be MD50, Micro 50, Mini D50 or MD68, Micro 68, Mini D68, Ultrawide, Ultra2, LVD.

SCSI-2 devices have the 50 pin HD50 ports (approx 1-3/8” wide). Most, if not all, use a latch mechanism instead of thumbscrews.

SCSI-3 devices have the 68 pin HD68 ports (approx 1-7/8” wide). Some use a latch mechanism and some use the traditional screws.

New cables are available in 3’ or 6’ lengths. Used cables can be less than 3′ or 4-6′. Some have metal ends. Colors vary.
