Description

Apple IIe, Model # A2S2128, P/N 825-1351-A.

Introduced in 1987, the Platinum Apple IIe with an extended keyboard was introduced and was the final model of the Apple IIe line. The case color was changed from the traditional beige to Platinum, and the bottom and back panel were gray in color rather than the brown of the standard IIe. They shipped with 64k Ram, 40 column graphics and a 65C02 processor. They were all “enhanced”.

Select below: All are cleaned, tested to work and have feet. Likely missing any number of slot covers in the back. These are 30 plus years old, expect minor scratches or scuffs here and there. Anything more major will be noted. Expect at least minor discoloration on everything and it may or may not be noticeable depending on the coloring of your drive and monitor. They will vary from very nice to pretty much severe discoloration. Most stickers, stencils and marker have been removed, but that area is usually whiter underneath. More coloring examples can be found here. Power supplies have been inspected, tested, Rifa replaced with polymer and any other needed caps replaced. All //e’s will come with an 80 column/64K memory card (bringing it up to 128K), and a power cable.

We have finally sorted through the Owner’s Manuals and disks that came with a IIe and can offer these as a IIe “package”. More info at the bottom of this page.

Also offered at a discount is a color matched 5.25 drive(with controller card).

A – SN E9126LF. 1986 Rev F motherboard. Light to medium discoloration. Closer to medium on most sides. Nice area on top where the monitor sat.

B – SN E6491B7. 1986 Rev C motherboard. Light discoloration. It does have a few scratches and scuffs on the top case and lid. Nothing major.

*All IIe “packages” will be offered until we run out of the Manuals. Disks will be original if possible, but there is even a more limited supply of those. Here is what came with the Platinum IIe: See last photo.
