Iomega Bernoulli Box 20 + 20

Description

The Bernoulli Box 20 + 20 is an 8″ flexible disk cartridge system featuring dual 20MB Bernoulli drives.  Bernoulli drives use the Bernoulli principle to spin the 8″ flexible disk very close, but not touching, the read-write head. It is described as “flying on a cushion of air”. This no-contact read-write system makes the technology nearly crash proof and thus much more reliable than a floppy disk or hard drive.   

This drive works great as an external bootable drive for the Macintosh Plus, and other Macs of the time period, allowing you have vastly more storage than the single floppy drive of the Plus can provide, while also avoiding the risk of failing SCSI hard drives.  For your convenience, this package will include a new install of System 6.0.8 on one of the included disk cartridges. 

Both of the drives have been tested and serviced, and both of the included 20MB disks have been tested and formatted for use with Mac OS.  

This package includes:

• The Bernoulli Box 20 + 20 Dual Drive System
• (2) Used working 20MB disk cartridges (one with System 6.0.8 and one blank)
• (1) 800k floppy disk with iOmega drivers and installation guide
• (1) Centronics to DB25 SCSI cable
• (1) Power cable

Of course there are minor scratches, scuffs, and dings in the case after 30 years, but nothing major. Disks are used and may have labels with writing on them, labels that show age, or writing on the cardboard sleeve.
