1981 Apple Super Serial Card II

Used in the Apple ][, ][+, and //e computers with an RS-232-C serial interface. Popular uses for this card are connecting an ImageWriter or ImageWriter II printer or modems, terminals, and other devices. Can be used in the IIGS, but that has serial ports built in. This card would also be used for networking with printers or other Apple II and Macintosh computers.

There are a few boxed sets, A2B044 are available – they may be slightly incomplete. The difference between the early and later sets is the Manual and the mounting hardware for the back of the computer. Apple II and II + have the large V openings in the back of the computer. The IIe has ports.

They all have a Manual, Super Serial Card, internal cable, and various mounting hardware.

The early box, A2B0044 is labeled Apple II. Later label was revised for the II+ and IIe.

• A) Apple II (appears to be missing the lockwashers – the cable connector clamp is already assembled)
• B) Apple II+ and IIe (missing Packing List (a copy will be included)(there are two kinds of cable connector clamps))

The later box (last 5 photos), A2B0044. For Apple II, II Plus and IIe.

• C) The box and manual changed from earlier versions. A nut plate and wrench replaced the connector clamp. This is only used on the IIe (Or IIGS), and you had to special order the previous connector clamp from Apple.
