Description

The high end Power Macintosh 9500 was introduced in 1995 for over $5,000. Power by a second generation PowerPC 604 processor. With 6 PCI slots and 7 drive bays, and a swappable daughter board it was the most expandandable Mac, and it was fast! With 12 memory slots, it can be upgraded to a maximum of 768MB RAM. Video is only provided from a card, no built in port. First with a 10BASE-T Ethernet port alongside the AAIU port.

 It can run from System 7.5.2 to MacOS 9.1.

These machines are now almost 30 years old so please expect minor scratches and scuffs. Anything more will be noted. Power cable included.

A) XB650DF5UZ – Power Mac 9500/132 MHz, 112MB RAM installed, an AppleCD 600i, and Superdrive. It has a new install of MacOS 8.5 on an 8.5GB hard drive. Has feet. Medium discoloration on the plastics. The CD bezel is new. A few of the expansion slots have broken plastic around the slot cutouts.

B) XB53803C2QH – Power Mac 9500/120 MHz, 32MB RAM installed. It has a new install of MacOS 8.5 on a 500MB hard drive, and has a 1.44 MB SuperDrive. Has feet. Light discoloration on the plastics. A piece of plastic over bottom expansion card slot is broken. This is the one in the photos.

*Please be very careful when handling these machines as plastic is getting brittle. With that said DO Not remove the plastic bezels for any of the drives as they will break! Everything can be accessed after the top cover has been removed.
