Apple Mouse IIc
Description
The Mouse IIc, was made specifically for the IIc.
(The original mouse for the IIc carried the same model number (M0100) as the newly introduced Macintosh Mouse, but was a different color and has different electronics inside it – the Mouse IIc needed to send a signal for identification.)
- The M0100 IIc mouse has a more sleek, creamy appearance than the Macintosh M0100, and the button matches the case.
- The A2M4015 IIc Mouse is simply labeled “Mouse”. It looks the same as the previous model, so likely was just a label change. Most often seen by me with boxes and manuals.
- The A2M4035 IIc Mouse is labeled “Apple Mouse IIc”. This last model adopts the “platinum” color scheme of the platinum colored IIc’s and IIc Plus. The button is gray.
While similar to the Mouse IIe and the original M0100 Macintosh Mouse (brown or gray button), the electronics are different. Those mice will likely not work with the IIc.
