A9M2050, A9M2070. Apple Mouse II

Description

The AppleMouse II, was made for the Apple II, II Plus and IIe and requires an interface card.

The M0100 mouse was introduced with the Macintosh in 1984. That was the same year the IIc was introduced and they also came up with an interface card so that the entire Apple II line could use this mouse with minor modifications.

  • The A2M2050 AppleMouse II has Model M0100 on the label but has “AIIE” in the serial number (whereas the Macintosh mouse contained the model number “M0100” in it’s serial number). This beige colored mouse with a brown button looks and is mechanically identical to the Macintosh model except for the serial number and the color of the DB-9 connector that plugs into the computer.
  • The A2M2070 AppleMouse IIe is labeled “Apple Mouse IIe”. This last model adopts the “platinum” color scheme of the platinum colored, extended keyboard IIe’s. (it looks and is mechanically identical to the platinum colored Macintosh M0100). This mouse is light gray in appearance with a darker gray mouse button.

Select from the following mice – all have been cleaned and are tested to work:

A) A2M2050 (M0100) AppleMouse II in the original box and includes the Mouse, Mouse Interface Card, User’s Manual and MousePaint disk. Just one of these and box condition as shown.

B) A2M2050 (M0100) AppleMouse II includes the Mouse, Mouse Interface Card, User’s Manual and MousePaint disk.

C) A2M2070 AppleMouse IIe in the original box and includes the Packing List, Mouse, Mouse Interface Card, Wrench, User’s Manual and MousePaint disk.

D) A2M2070 AppleMouse IIe includes the Mouse, Mouse Interface Card, User’s Manual and MousePaint disk.

E) A2M2070 AppleMouse IIe Mouse only

*There is yet another mouse with the Model M0100 that has a more sleek, creamy appearance and the button matches the case. This case was colored snow white to match the IIc. The electronics are different in the IIc mice and other mice will not work with it. This mouse may have also been sold for the IIe, but every early manual that I have shows the IIe mouse with a beige body and brown button. This listing will be updated as I get a chance to test the white mice to work with the IIc. Differences shown in last two photos.
