The eDP cable connects the LCD panel of the display assembly to the logic board.

The left-hand side hinge is part of this cable, so this is the part to replace if you have a problem with either the cable or the hinge.

Replacing this cable is easy compared to many other displays. With the display removed, simply remove the clutch cover, remove the screws that secure the hinge, and disconnect the cable from the LCD panel.
