Macintosh Quadra 650

Model: M2118 (Quadra 650)

Apple originally released this machine as the Macintosh Centris 650 in early 1993 before renaming the line to Quadra later that year. The two are virtually identical (same case, same design) with the Quadra receiving a processor speed bump from 25MHz to 33MHz and a new name badge. The third photo shows a Centris model for reference.

Up for sale is a working Macintosh Quadra 650, Apple’s sleek high-profile desktop from 1993. Under the hood is a 33MHz Motorola 68040 processor, making this one of the more capable machines of its era,  great for retro computing, vintage software, or expanding your collection.

This unit includes:

• 13MB RAM (expandable to 132MB)
• 230MB internal hard drive loaded with System 7.5.5 and a selection of apps
• 1.44MB floppy drive (serviced)
• Power cable
• New PRAM Battery

Optional add-on: Apple Extended Keyboard II and ADB Mouse II available as a bundle (not pictured)

Condition: The case is in good overall shape with light yellowing/discoloration on the front panel, trending closer to medium discoloration toward the rear. There is a scratch along the top of the rear metal casing.

Capable of running System 7.1 through Mac OS 8.1.

As these are used please expect minor scuffs, scratches, chips, and nicks. Larger cosmetic flaws will be noted. Coloring examples can be found here.
