Description

Macintosh II, Model: M5000. The Macintosh II was introduced in 1987 for $5498, and was the beginning of a new era of Macintosh nicknamed “Open Mac” offering expansion, upgrade-ability, and color graphics. This was all thanks to the new color QuickDraw language that providing 16.7 Million colors! When originally launched the Macintosh II came with a 16 MHz 68020 processor, a 68881 Floating Point Unit, either 1MB or 4MB memory, 40MB or 80MB hard disk, single or dual 800k disk drives, and 6 NuBus expansion slots one of which could be equipped from the factory with a Macintosh II Video Card. Will run from System 2.0 to 7.5.5.

This Macintosh II has a fully recapped and restored logic board, new batteries, 8MB of RAM, and a Macintosh II video card. This computer will also ship with an included Apple Extended Keyboard, ADB cable, and Apple Desktop Bus Mouse.

Using the drop down menus above, you can choose single or dual 800k floppy drives, as well as no hard drive (for your own hard drive alternative), a SCSI drive, or a 2GB BlueSCSI drive.  The SCSI drive that we have available is a 250MB drive that will come with a new installation of System 7.5.5.  If you choose the BlueSCSI drive option, it will come with a 2GB partition with a new installation of 7.5.5. Really just leave us a note on the checkout page and we can install System 6.0.8 to 7.5.5 on either.

The case of this Macintosh II is in good condition with very few scratches or other cosmetic flaws.  The plastic that Apple used at the time was prone to discoloration when exposed to sunlight, but this computer only has very light discoloration and looks really good overall. It has all of its feet.
