Description
Introduced in Mid 2009 and discontinued in Mid 2012, it was the last 13″ MacBook Pro to have a built in optical drive. Because of this, you could still purchase the 2012 model as new from Apple until 2016 when they finally retired it.
Max RAM – 2009, 8GB (8500), 2010, 16GB (8500). 2011, 16GB (10600). 2012, 16GB (12800)
Currently available:
A) Mid 2010. SN 73102R2CATM. 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. 8GB RAM. 200GB hard drive. Battery has a 250 cycle count. Can run OS 10.6.3 to 10.13. High Sierra installed. A1278, EMC 2351, macbookpro7,1. Runs great! It had fallen on the charging port side and that looks okay, but there is a little bump in the top case above that port. There are scratches on the bottom of the case.
B) Mid 2012. SN C02JPA38DTYA. 2.9GHz i7. 8GB RAM, 750GB hard drive. Battery has a 59 cycle count. Can run OS 10.7.3 to 10.15. Catalina installed. A1278, EMC 2554, macbookpro9,2. Looks and runs great! There are several scratches on the bottom of the case. (photos are of this computer)
C) Mid 2012. SN CPWKXPMBDTY3. 2.5GHz i5. 16GB RAM, 480GB SSD. Battery has a 105 cycle count. Can run OS 10.7.3 to 10.15. Mojave installed. A1278, EMC 2554, macbookpro9,2. Looks and runs great! There is a minor scratch or two on the lid, and several on the bottom of the case.
