Introduced in January 2005, the Mac Mini was Apple’s smallest and most affordable desktop ever, measuring just 6.5 x 6.5 x 2 inches. Marketed as “Bring Your Own Display, Keyboard, and Mouse,” it brought the Mac experience to a new price point.
This is the only Mac Mini with a PowerPC G4 processor, making it capable of running Mac OS 9 software through Classic Environment in OS X. This capability was permanently lost when Apple transitioned to Intel processors the following year.
