Apple Macintosh LC family. LC stood for Low Cost and the first was released in 1990. Also new with this model was a LC PDS (Processor Direct Slot) most famous for the Apple IIe emulation card.

The models that share the same “pizza box” case include:
-LC, M0350, 16 MHz 68020 Processor. System 6.0.7 to 7.5.5. 2 MB motherboard memory, max 10 MB.
-LC II, M1700, 16 MHz 68030 Processor. System 6.0.8 to 7.6.1. 2 MB motherboard memory, max 10 MB.
-LC III, M1254, 25 MHz 68030 Processor. System 7.1 to 7.6.1. 4 MB motherboard memory, max 36 MB.
-LC III+, M1254, 33 MHz 68030 Processor. System 7.1 to 7.6.1. 4 MB motherboard memory, max 36 MB.
-LC / Performa 475, M1476, 25 MHz 68LC040 Processor. System 7.1 to 8.1. 4 MB motherboard memory, max 36 MB.

Except as noted, all currently boot and run. Expect minor scrapes and scuffs, they are now nearly 30 years old. May or may not have a PDS slot cover on the rear panel. Anything more major will be noted below.

Available computers:

A) LC II. SN SG213FU4F01. 8 MB memory, 40 MB hard drive, 1.4 MB 3.5” floppy drive. Running System 7.1. Case looks Nice! Capacitors have been replaced and it works great!

*B) LC II. SN SG251BXRF01. 10 MB memory, 40 MB hard drive, 1.4 MB 3.5” floppy drive. Running System 7.1 with some additional apps. Case has discoloration on the sides spilling up to the top, with the right side being Medium to Severe. Capacitors have been replaced and it works great!

C) LC III. SN LC4130AFVA2. 20 MB memory, 80 MB hard drive, 1.4 MB 3.5” floppy drive. Ethernet PDS card. New install of System 7.1. Case is nice to light, but has medium discoloration on the left side and left edge of the top. Property sticker and engraving on the bottom lip below the floppy drive. This is the newer LC III case that uses the newer Manual Inject floppy drive and nameplate for the case rather than printed directly on to it. Capacitors have been replaced and it works great!

D) LC 475. SN XB3404X31PT. 20 MB memory, 160 MB hard drive, 1.4 MB 3.5” floppy drive. Running System 7.1 with lots of additional apps. Case shows some light to medium discoloration on the front and left side. There is a lighter area on the face from a removed sticker. This computer has a couple of capacitors that have leaked and needs a good Pram battery to boot (not included).

E) Performa 475. SN XB422KX51PT. 20 MB memory, 120 MB hard drive, 1.4 MB 3.5” floppy drive. New install of System 7.1. *Note that all 68xxx (pre PowerPC) logic boards have been, are, or will be soon experiencing capacitors leaking. Apple Rescue of Denver does not currently offer board level repairs. Exterior cleaning, testing and swapping components, such as floppy drives or hard drives, if needed , is all that is performed prior to being made available. If the case has needed to be opened and the capacitor problem is noticeable at that time, it will be indicated in the description. The computers listed above for sale boot and run. Unless otherwise indicated, no other repairs have been performed. It is always possible that board levels repairs have been done prior to coming into inventory. WARRANTY on these Macs is limited to working when you have received it only.

****Special Offer! With purchase of a computer on this page, you can add a IIe Card! The IIe card will come installed in the LC and will include the Y cable and software. Apple II drive(s) and joysticks sold separately. The only drives that can be used with this card are the Apple 5.25 Drive and the Unidisk 3.5.
